Simulating Variables of Tele-Controlled Devices

When selecting a device in the Change Variables option, the window on the next figure is opened to access Analog and Discrete Measurements, Commands, and Protections.

Measurements preceded by the icon Operator indicate they can be changed by users double-clicking their value. After inserting a new value, press ENTER. This new value is automatically available in the device controlled by the Self-Healing Module.

Current, power, and voltage Measurements are calculated by the Power Flow Module. These Measurements are preceded by the icon Power Flow and indicate their values are calculated based on the loading values and on the topological status of the system.

To change Discrete Measurements, the procedure is the same, but users must type a number representing a status. For example, to indicate an alarm, type 1 (one) and press ENTER to display the expression "Alarm". To return a variable to the "Normal" status, type 0 (zero).
