Exercises |
For this exercise, let's use in the whole application only Operator-type Measurement Sources, where data is inserted by the user, without configuring any I/O Driver. As a suggestion, all configured Measurements must already have their Operator-type Measurement Sources configured with some value, allowing that as soon as the application executes, there are already values loaded.
1.Confirm in Organizer the Substation's object structure. There must be one object for each drawing on the Electrical Modeler.

2.Select Switch Fuse 29-02 and, inside it, default Measurement SwitchPosition.
3.Switch position is simulated by an operator, so remove the Scada item from this Measurement. Notice that when deleting Scada item, automatically the ActiveSource property of Measurement SwitchPosition changes to Operator.
4.Execute the application again.
5.Click Switch 29-02 to open PowerExplorer window.
6.On Discrete tab, select Measurement Switch Status. Change Switch status from Open to Closed. To do so, double-click (or press the F2 key) the Value field of Measurement Switch Status and type "1" (one).

7.Check on Screen if Switch Fuse is closed and if Busbar was energized.

8.Return to the Substation and remove Scada item from all Measurements SwitchPosition and BreakerPosition, leaving all sources configured as Operator.
9.Configure the value of Operator source of all Measurements BreakerPosition of all application Breakers to "1" (one), so that all Breakers start closed.
10.At last, configure the value of Operator source of Measurements SwitchPosition of Switches 29-02, 29-08, 29-10, and 29-12 to "1" (one), that is, these Switches start the application closed. Leave the value of Operator source of Switch 29-04 configured as "0" (zero), so that it starts open.
TIP |
The tool for error verification on a Substation identifies all Scada items that are not linked to I/O Tags. This resource helps locating and removing these objects. |
11.Execute the application and test its functionality.
