An OpenID user is a user authenticated by an external server that uses the OpenID Connect protocol. To configure an external authentication server, please check topic External Authentication by OpenID. An OpenID user can be created manually, by clicking Add 
on the Users tab and selecting the OpenID item, or automatically on the user's first login, if the Create new users if they don't exist option is enabled in the configuration of the external authentication.
