Optical Port |
Select the Use Optical Port option on the configuration window to indicate that this Driver must communicate using the optical or serial protocol. When selecting this option, this Driver uses the password configured in the Optic Password (ASCII) option for authentication, which is a password in ASCII format with a maximum of 8 (eight) digits.
When the optical port is used, a password is mandatory for readings and for writings. Due to device specifications, users must use a password with higher privileges to perform a clock syncing. For more information, please check a device's manual.
For a correct usage of the optical port, users must configure this Driver to use Serial communication on the Setup tab. Recommended values are the following:
•Baudrate: 300
•Databits: 7 (seven)
•Parity: Even Parity
•Stop bits: One stop bit
Currently, the optical port is only compatible with Elgama EPQS devices.
