This Tag attempts to sync the clock of a meter with the clock of a host, that is, this Driver. The value of this Tag must be set with the timezone, in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) format, in which a meter is, in minutes. The returned timestamp is this Driver's date and time minus the communication latency with a device.

The password typed in the Serial Password (HEX) option on this Driver's configuration window is used for authentication. If this option was not configured, this Driver uses the default password of a device.

NOTES

In many cases, it is normal that this Tag succeeds and the time of a meter remains unchanged. In this case, it is recommended to wait a few minutes, or even a few hours, before the next syncing attempts.

Due to technical restrictions, users can only adjust the clock of a meter in plus or minus 10 minutes from a central time. Please be sure that the given timezone is correct. For larger adjustments, users must perform a manual intervention in a meter. To do so, please check manufacturer's documentation.
