This Driver does not use [P] parameters for configuration. All configurations are performed on the extra properties window in Elipse SCADA or on the properties window in Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water.

This Driver, when added to an Elipse Software application, is loaded with the default configuration for extra parameters of serial ports, that is, speed of 19200 bps, 8 (eight) data bits, and 1 (one) parity bit, without parity check. These configurations are in accordance to the definitions of a P12x relay's Modbus port, and initially they do not need any changes for this device.

The address of the serial port may need to be changed to the address to establish communication, such as COM2 or COM3. The time-out is already defined as 1000 ms, but this is a rather arbitrary value depending on the requirements of an application.

A device may also have been configured with another transmission speed. If this speed is configured under 19200 bps for no special reason, it is advisable to change that speed in the device and match the speed configured in this Driver.

The parameters mentioned previously are configured on the Serial tab of the configuration window. To configure specific parameters of this Driver, use the AlstomP12x tab.
