Failure Warnings by E-mail

EPM Processor Manager can be configured to send e-mails when active failures happen in the system.

To configure this option, right-click the EPM Processor Manager icon on Windows Notification Area, select the Settings option, and then click the Manager tab. Configure these options according to the next table and click Apply.

Option

Description

Send an email

Enables sending e-mails in case of failure in EPM Processor

SMTP Server

Address of the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server

User

Name of the user of the e-mail's account

Password

Password of the user of the email's account

Port

TLS/SSL port of the SMTP server

SSL

Indicates whether the SMTP server uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)

From

Sender's e-mail address. This option only accepts one e-mail address

To

Recipient's e-mail address. This option accepts multiple recipients, separated by semicolons

 

If the Send an email option is selected and any failure happens, an e-mail is sent 10 minutes after EPM Processor Manager starts. A new checking and sending is performed at every 24 hours. In case of failure on sending this e-mail, three more attempts are performed in a 10-minute interval.
