Introduction

EPM Processor is a module that integrates into Elipse Plant Manager (EPM) platform. Through this platform, users can collect data from several sources, store, and contextualize them, offering high performance on recording and querying, in addition to several tools for viewing and analyzing, so that users can speed up the process of extracting knowledge and grounding the making-decision process.

EPM Processor works on this scenario by allowing algorithms written in Python language to be executed automatically or on demand. Automatic executions are based on events and provide native connections to process data. Some typical cases of using this tool are calculations on performance indicators, inferences over process variables, calculations of demand forecasting, generation of reports and automatic or on-demand documentation, among others.

With this tool, users can manage the whole generation of information based on process data, incorporating information from other data sources or not, everything on a secure and easily maintainable environment, key requirements to manage business information.

NOTES

EPM Processor is available in the demonstration version of EPM Server, but with a restriction of allowing the automatic execution of up to 10 Productions, that is, up to 10 packages for automatic processing according to EPM Server events.

Because it is part of an information system about the process in the management level, EPM Processor was not created aiming to execute control logic in real time. The frequency of execution of calculations must not be too low, that is, it must be preferably greater than 10 minutes. Please contact Elipse Software's technical support in case of any doubt.

The execution time of an algorithm displayed on EPM Processor Workbench is only relative to the execution time of that algorithm, not relative to data input and output (I/O) time.
