Data Structure

Elipse Power deals with Electrical Model and data objects of an application separately. While an Electrical Model is stored on an EDB file and contains information about system components and their connectivity, data objects are stored on project files and allow adding a series of programming to them, such as scripts, Links to I/O Tags, Links to Screen objects, Alarms, and Historic objects, among others. To correlate real-time data (data objects instantiated on project files) with data from the electrical model (devices modeled on an EDB file), Elipse Power Studio contains a feature that allows users to create and sync the structure of devices modeled on an EDB file into instances of devices on a project file. The next exercise describes how to perform this procedure.
