Triggered Device Connected to a Ring

When a ring is identified, all devices on the same electrical path of the involved devices are ignored by the Self-Healing Module. As a ring may involve several devices, the number of feeders can be large, as well as the number of ignored devices. If the triggered switch is ignored by this reason, the analysis is aborted.

This situation can become normal due to communication instability of devices. When the status measurement contains an invalid value or contains a quality less than 192, the Self-Healing Module considers that this device is closed and unavailable. If this device is a tie node between two feeders (usually with an open status), it considers the existence of a ring between these two feeders, unless there is another switch opening this electrical path.
