An I/O Tag is used to define information exchange with acquisition devices, and it is a single independent variable, which can be an analog variable, an input variable, an output variable, a counter, a digital point, etc. Several digital points can be grouped in a Tag and be accessed using their properties, such as data bits. I/O Tags are configured using a series of N parameters (from N1 to N4) or using the Device and Item properties, which vary according to the I/O Driver used.
