Frequently Asked Questions

During the installation, a message is displayed: There are Elipse F4 modules executing in this computer. Please, close them and restart the installation

 

Possible Reason

Another version of Elipse F4 is already installed at the time users are trying to install a new version.

 

Solution

First close Elipse F4 and then continue the installation by clicking Retry.

 

During the installation, a message is displayed: Files in use. Files that need to be updated are in use

 

Possible Reason

A version of Elipse F4 is installed and opened while trying to install Elipse F4.

 

Solution

First close Elipse F4 and then continue to install Elipse F4 by clicking Retry.

 

After installation, when opening Elipse F4 Portal there is a vertical bar with a "Demo" indication

Possible Reason

There are two possible reasons for this problem:

a)The protection device or the detection drivers were not correctly installed

b)The USB port is not correctly configured or damaged

 

Solution

For each reason, please try the following:

a)Execute the haspdinst.exe application with the -I option. This can be performed via Run option on Windows Start menu with the next command line.

C:\Program Files\Elipse Software\F4\HASP\haspdinst.exe -I

 

b)Test the USB port with another communication device, such as a printer. Users can also check on computer settings if the USB port is correctly configured.

I moved the application to another computer and now it does not display images anymore

 

Possible Reason

The path to picture files is incorrect.

 

Solution

Users must create the same directory structure, that is, the same path of the original computer.
