To use EPM ODBC Driver, a Data Source must be created on Windows. The applications used to create that data source are ODBC Data Sources (32-bit) or ODBC Data Sources (64-bit), depending on whether the platform is 32 or 64 bits, respectively.
The process of configuring EPM ODBC Driver is the same for both 32- and 64-bit platforms. The next procedures use the 32-bit version as their example.
1.By using the Windows Start menu, open the application ODBC Data Sources (32-bit).
2.Select the System DSN tab.

3.Click Add to add a new ODBC data source.

4.On the Create New Data Source window, select the Driver corresponding to the installation and click Finish to create the data source.
5.When creating a data source of type EPM ODBC Driver, the EPM ODBC Setup window on the next figure is displayed.

7.If the connection was configured correctly, click OK to create the data source.
8.After finishing the creation of the data source, it appears on the System Data Sources list. If the EPM ODBC Driver's data source was created and tested successfully, click OK to close the application.

9.If users want to change any configuration, select the data source and click Configure to open the configuration window again.
10.If users want to remove this data source, select it and click Remove and then click Yes on the next dialog box to complete this operation.
