Introduction |
EPM Add-in for Microsoft Excel is an EPM module developed to help integration between EPM and Excel, taking advantage of all functionality regarding data analysis and report generation available in Excel.
EPM Add-in for Microsoft Excel comes in two versions, Automation and VSTO, which depend on the installed version of Excel (XP, 2003, 2007, or later). It is important to notice that all Add-In versions have the same basic functionality, what differentiates them is how to access this functionality, as this depends on the version of Excel in use.

Technically, the difference between these versions is linked to the technology used for implementation. The Automation version, older, fundamentally uses Excel's API, while the VSTO version uses a set of development tools for MS Office, VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office).
