Scale |
The Simulator generates analog values ranging from 0 (zero) to 65535. As this exercise needs values inside another range, let's enable a scale function.

1.Change all Analog Tag properties according to the next figure.

2.Test the communication. The Value column already displays values with the configured scale and the Value (unscaled) column displays values sent by a device.

In case Elipse Modbus Simulator is closed or stopped, Tags appear in red, indicating a communication error, as shown on the next figure. When reopening or reactivating the simulator, the connection is reestablished in the period of time indicated by the Retry failed connection every n seconds option on this Driver's Setup tab, which in this Tutorial was configured to 20 seconds. |
