Alarm Sources |
Alarm Sources define all information regarding alarm conditions. In each Alarm Source, users can configure its limits, a message regarding an event and its severity, as well as whether this event needs acknowledgment or not. All Alarm Sources have general properties described on the next table.

Message text |
This is a text linked to that alarm condition, which appears on an E3Alarm object or on a Database. It can contain up to 255 text characters |
Severity |
Indicates an alarm severity, which can be Critical, Low, Medium, or High. A severity is used for filtering and sorting messages |
Need Ack |
Indicates that this alarm must be acknowledged by an operator to be removed from an E3Alarm's alarm list, or else if it is automatically acknowledged when a variable leaves an alarm condition |
Return message |
Whenever an Alarm Source leaves an alarm condition, this message is displayed on view objects |
