Alarm Source

This section contains information about the methods and properties of an Alarm Source object. This object does not have common events associated to it.

NOTE

When an Alarm Source object is disabled or deactivated, the ActiveNACKAlarm, Alarm, CurrentSeverity, CurrentSubConditionName, FormattedValue, RawAlarm, and Value properties assume their default values, indicating that the Alarm Source is not linked to an active alarm message. In this case, the values of the Alarm and ActiveNACKAlarm are propagated to the counters of upper areas.

For these properties to receive a value other than the default, the following conditions must be present:

The Alarm Source must be enabled and active

The Alarm Area, and all its hierarchically superior objects, must be enabled and active

The Alarm Server must be active
