An Alarm Server object centralizes all Alarms of a project. There, users can find the total number of active Alarms in an application, acknowledged or not. It is also responsible for reporting Alarm Events for all connected Elipse E3 Viewers, as well as sending these Events to a database, if needed.

By using the Configuration tab of this object's Properties Window, users can specify whether Alarms are stored on a database or not. Alarms can either be viewed on an E3Alarm or on an E3Browser.
