EnableDeadBand

Boolean Enables or disables the PercentDeadBand property of I/O Block Elements. If this property is set to True, the I/O Block value is only updated when it changes, and its new value exceeds the limit defined by the PercentDeadBand property of any of its I/O Block Elements. Otherwise, this I/O Block is always updated, and dead band limits are not checked. Whenever possible, users must keep the dead band enabled, because it enhances data acquisition and processing performance. Usually, dead band is disabled only for I/O Blocks that return values representing events which must be handled on I/O Block's OnRead event. The default value of this property is True.

NOTES

In case there are more than one I/O Block Element mapped to the same index, the dead band configuration used is the one that results in the smallest absolute dead band value.

If any I/O Block index contains an unmapped I/O Block Element, the dead band in this index is equal to 0 (zero), that is, any variation in the value of the I/o Block Element violates the dead band.

If this property is enabled, the last value sent to the I/O Block is compared to the current value read, Element by Element. If any I/O Block Element violates its dead band, the whole I/O Block is updated.
