Licenses

Elipse Software provides two playback packages, according to its tools:

Basic Playback

Advanced Playback: This is a Basic Playback plus Video Recording and Screen Capture tools

Each one of these packages is dimensioned according to the number of points (Tags and Alarm Sources) stored on a database. For example, a Basic Playback 1000 allows performing a playback on a database with up to 1,000 points. If a database contains more points than the available licenses, a database assembling process fails and an error message is then displayed, indicating that there are no available licenses to execute a playback.

An Elipse E3 Studio license includes an Advanced Playback license with no limit on points, although it is limited to the last six hours of data stored on a database. This allows an application developer to test playback without purchasing licenses for this.

In Demo mode (when there is no protection device), a playback also works in Advanced mode without a limitation on points, although limited to display only the last six hours of data stored on a database, relative to the current server time.

IMPORTANT

If a protection device is a Master- (Elipse E3 Studio + Runtime) or Runtime only-type, playback is only available if there are licenses programmed on this protection device. For more information about limitations of Elipse E3's Demo mode, please check topic Limitations of Demonstration Mode.
