The [P] configuration parameters must be ignored and left in 0 (zero), because they are not used. This Driver can be configured on the properties window of an I/O Driver object in an Elipse Software application. When inserted in an application, this Driver is loaded with the default configuration of extra parameters for serial communication, that is, baud rate of 9600 bps, 8 (eight) bits of data, 1 (one) stop bit, and no parity check.

Possibly, the address of the serial port must be changed to the one to establish communication, such as COM2 or COM3. The time-out is already defined as 1000 ms, but this configuration is rather arbitrary relative to communication requirements.
