Tag Reference

All Union AMS Driver Tags must be referenced by Device and Item fields and [N/B] parameters, according to the next table.

Available options for Tags

Item

Description

Device field (Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water)

Used to specify an identifier for a power meter

Item field (Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water)

Used to perform a command in descriptive format

N1 or B1

Not used, leave it in 0 (zero)

N2 or B2

Used to perform a command in number format

N3 or B3

Not used, leave it in 0 (zero)

N4 or B4

Not used, leave it in 0 (zero)

Configuration of fields in Tags

Device field: Field to inform an identifier of a power meter, based on the following information:

Maximum length of an identifier: 12 digits

Format of digits in an identifier: Only numbers

Example

To reference a power meter with an identifier equal to 310000011283, the Device field must be filled with the value "310000011283". If this power meter is communicating using an Ethernet Gateway, users must add Base and Speed parameters to the identifier of this power meter:

Base parameter: -B99, in which "99" can be any value between 1 (one) and 99

Speed parameter: -S9999, in which "9999" can be 1200 or 9600

Example

To reference a power meter with an identifier equal to 310000011283 and communicating using an Ethernet Gateway with Base equal to 01 and Speed equal to 9600, the Device field must be filled with the value "310000011283-B01-S9600".

If users inserted any invalid character or an invalid configuration value, this Tag in Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water remains in red to indicate the existence of errors on the informed configuration.

If the Device field is empty, it assumes the value of the Default Meter ID option defined on this Driver's properties window, already including Ethernet Gateway's Base and Speed parameters if enabled in the Use Ethernet Gateway option.

Item field: Field to inform a command in descriptive format, according to the table of commands linked to the respective Tag

N2 or B2: Field to inform a command in number format, according to the table of commands linked to the respective Tag

The N1 or B1, N3 or B3, and N4 or B4 parameters are not used by this Driver.

NOTE

Applications created in Elipse SCADA do not support Device and Item fields, so that communication with a power meter must be only referenced by this Driver's Default Meter ID option and by number commands performed using the N2 or B2 parameter of Tags.
