Users must configure a device's protocol and I/O Interface according to instructions of the User's Guide provided by this device's manufacturer.

For a full integration with Elipse E3, Elipse Power, Elipse Water, or Elipse SCADA applications, a device must be able to perform a connection to a computer via Serial, Ethernet, Modem or RAS interface using the DL/T 645 (1997) protocol.
