Concurrent Communication |
Elipse SuperDriver Driver, when in execution, manages the expiration time of In Advise Tags of all Slaves. When detecting an expiration time of one or more Tags, Elipse SuperDriver Driver saves a list of Slaves with Tags with expired times to perform readings as soon as possible. This list may have the maximum possible size of Slaves. However, I/O tasks of all Slaves may not always occur simultaneously.
Every I/O task that occurs on a Slave consumes processing resources, or CPU usage, and at least one thread is created for each communication. The operating system limits the maximum number of threads per process. For this reason, Elipse SuperDriver Driver has a maximum limitation of communications occurring at the same time. When this limit is reached, all Slaves that need to communicate remain on a waiting list, and start communicating as soon as the current communications end.
