Using Tag Browser

Elipse E3 version 2.0, Elipse Power, and Elipse Water introduced a tool called Tag Browser, which allows this Driver to help creating and configuring Tags.

Tag Browser window

The Tags from current project list displays Tags and folders that already exist in the current project. The Tags available from driver list displays a tree view with Tags supported by this Driver. To create a Tag in an application, drag one of the Tags defined by this Driver to a folder on the current directory. The SBUS Protocol Driver contains the following nodes in this tree view:

The IOKit node shows all Tags provided by the IOKit library, grouped into the following categories:

General: Tags for general usage

Modem: Tags for manipulating communication via modem

Ethernet: Tags for manipulating communication via Ethernet network

Parameters: Tags for configuring parameters from IOKit library

The Generic SBUS device node lists all Tags defined in this Driver. Drag a Tag from the Tags available from driver list to the Tags from current project list, or even an entire folder to create all Tags at the same time, already configured to work. The Tag Browser window suggests values for the Source Subnet ID and Source Device ID options in the Device field and also an auxiliary parameter in the Item field, which probably must be reconfigured after including these Tags. If, instead of adding an entire node, users add Tags individually, they must have their Device field filled manually
