Available options on the PIConnector tab
Option |
Description |
---|---|
PI Server Name |
Name of a PI server or a PI Data Archive's node to which users are trying to connect. This parameter identifies the connection destination |
UserName |
Name of the user trying to authenticate. This must be a valid user configured in PI Data Archive |
Password |
The password corresponding to the provided user, used to verify identity |
Profile |
Profile for capturing data from a PI Tag. The available options are RealTime: Monitors real-time values through continuous subscriptions, thus tracking live data updates, Historical: Retrieves exclusively past data for analysis, focusing on archived data, or Both: Integrates both modes, first syncing the historical mode and then monitoring real-time values |
Default Backward Sync Time for New Tags (hours) |
Determines a retroactive time interval, in hours, for which historical data of a PI Tag must be retrieved when performing the initial syncing of a new Tag |
Time Cache File Folder |
Defines a directory where the time cache file is stored, allowing to save the last timestamps of PI Tags when the program is closed and restore them during initialization. This ensures continuity in data syncing between sessions, optimizing both historical and real-time data collection |
