Driver Configuration |
This Driver is responsible for receiving, via Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water, information about Alarms or Events, forwarding them to the corresponding service.
The OPC A&E Server service is available on the same folder as this Driver, named ElipseOPCAEServer.exe, and implements the OPC A&E services according to the specification of OPC Foundation.
To ensure the proper execution of this Driver, follow these steps:
1.Install OPC Core Components Redistributables on the computer where the Elipse OPC A&E Server service is going to be executed.
2.In a Command Prompt with administrator privileges, register that service using the command ElipseOPCAEServer /service /register.
When starting the OPC A&E Client, the Elipse OPC A&E Server must load automatically and remain waiting for messages sent by this Driver on UDP/IP port 28100, to forward them to the OPC A&E Client.
In case of error, revise DCOM settings, especially if the Server and Client are on different computers. In this case, follow the instructions available on Elipse Software's Elipse Knowledgebase about DCOM settings.
NOTE |
This Driver must be configured to use the Ethernet protocol in UDP/IP, pointing to the IP address of the computer where the service is executing, on UDP/IP port 28100. |
