Driver Configuration

This Driver allows connecting to a locar or remote OPC A&E server. The properties window of this Driver contains the next options:

Machine Name: Provide the name of a computer where an OPC A&E server is executing. To access a server on the local computer, leave this option blank or fill it with s "localhost" value

OPC A&E Server: Type the Program ID of an OPC A&E server, that is, the name with which the COM component was registered, or click Expand to select a server on a list of servers registered on the computer informed in the Machine Name option

NOTE

To connect this Driver to a remote server, users must configure DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) permissions using the dcomcnfg application both on the computer where this Driver executes and on the computer where the OPC A&E server executes. Generally speaking, on the computer where this Driver executes, the IOServer.exe process must be granted permission for local and remote access to users ANONYMOUS LOGIN, SYSTEM, and EVERYONE. On the computer where the OPC A&E server executes, this process must also be configured to grant access to the same users.
