There are 2 (two) possibilites of connecting a Melsec-FX device via USB interfaces. When using a device from the FX3U family, use the embedded FX3U-USB-BD module and the included USB cable. The other possibility is using an FX-USB-AW adapter. In this case, in addition to the connection via FX3U programming port, this adapter also offers a connection via FX0, FX1, and FX2 ports of devices.

For both solutions, users must install a manufacturer's driver. This driver adds a virtual serial port in a computer, which represents a USB device that must be selected on this Driver's extra parameters.
