Introduction

This Driver allows sending commands to control, or write, and read the status of several variables of monitors from MDC series by Samsung Electronics.

Users can, for example, remotely turn these monitors on or off, as well as remotely read their input status, that is, check if they are turned on or off.

The first version of this Driver includes only commands to turn monitors on or off, in addition to remotely read and select the input source. Future versions may implement more features.

This Driver uses Elipse Software's IOKit library, which allows communication, in a standard way, in several physical layers, such as Serial, Ethernet TCP/IP or UDP, RAS, and Modem. For more information about the configuration of physical layers, please check topic Documentation of I/O Interfaces.
