When included in an application, this Driver is loaded with the default configuration of extra parameters for the serial port, that is, baud rate of 9600 bps, 8 (eight) data bits, 1 (one) stop bit, and no parity check. Possibly the address of the serial port must be changed to the address with which users want to establish communication, that is, COM2, COM3, and so on, as well as baud rate, parity and stop bits, according to the configuration of DIP switches of a device. The time-out is also defined as 1000 ms, but this value is rather arbitrarily relative to an application's requirements.
