This Driver, whatever the selected protocol, supports sending and receiving data with or without timestamp in the following formats:

•Without timestamp: In this case, the timestamp is set by this Driver according to operating system's current time

•24-bit timestamp: This format is defined in IEC 870-5-101 protocol, but can be used in both IEC 870-5-101 and IEC 870-5-104 protocols. Includes only information about hour, minute, second, and millisecond. Date is filled by this Driver using operating system's current date

•56-bit timestamp: This format is defined in IEC 870-5-104 protocol, but can be used in both IEC 870-5-104 and IEC 870-5-101 protocols. Includes a full timestamp, with year, month, day, hour, minute, second, and millisecond

In data received without a timestamp or with an invalid timestamp, that is, with the IV flag equal to 1 (one), that timestamp is replaced by the current computer's time and the value's quality returned to an application is adjusted to indicate that the timestamp is local. Timestamps received and sent by this Driver can be adjusted to daylight saving time, depending on this Driver's configuration and on the SU flag of the timestamp.
