The Bosch Rexroth EcoDrive Driver does not use the [P] parameters for configuration. The whole configuration is performed on the extra parameters window of this Driver, in case of Elipse SCADA, or on the properties window of this Driver, in case of Elipse E3, Elipse Power, or Elipse Water.

When including the Bosch Rexroth EcoDrive Driver in an Elipse Software application, it is loaded with the default configuration of extra parameters for the serial port:

•Speed of 9600 bps

•Eight data bits

•One stop bit, without parity check

These settings already comply with the definition of a device's serial interface, and may not normally be changed.

The address of the serial port can be changed to a custom address to establish a communication, such as COM2, COM3, and so on. The time-out is defined as 1000ms, but this value is somehow arbitrary relative to the request of an application.

A device can also be configured with another transmission speed. In this case, configure this Driver to match the configuration of a device.
