Introduction

This is the Agri_Datalog EAP Driver, which implements the integration of Elipse Software applications with the EAP protocol. This protocol was developed for an optimized communication among Agri Datalog devices in a proprietary Agrinet network. The EAP protocol is a Master-Slave type, that is, a single device, the Master, handles all communication processes. All other devices on the same bus of that Master are Slaves and, therefore, a computer executing an Elipse Software application with this Driver is the Master, while the Agri Datalog devices connected to that application are the Slaves.

The physical layer of the EAP protocol is an RS-485 serial bus. For compatibility purposes with a computer, an RS-485/RS-232 converter is used between the bus and the COM serial port of that computer. Baud rate is 9600 bps, the format of bytes is 8 (eight) bits, 1 (one) stop bit, and no parity bit.

Agri_Datalog EAP Driver contemplates all available commands implemented by Agridatalog srl for devices and models Cellostat CS950A/G, Agri Controller 2500, Econom (EC55/EC100), and Sequencer (CMP8/16/4+4GL/2+2GL).
