Driver Configuration

The [P] configuration parameters are not used. All settings are performed on the configuration dialog box of this Driver, shown on the next figure. For more information about the Setup, Serial, Ethernet, Modem, and RAS tabs, please check topic Documentation of I/O Interfaces.

The Conitel 2020 protocol is a Master/Slave serial protocol, in which all communication is started by a Master and responded by a Slave.

Option

Description

Listen Mode

Defines whether this Driver works in Listen mode, configured to True, or in Active Master mode, configured to False

Maximum Silence Time (seconds)

Defines the time, in seconds, this Driver must remain without receiving data from a Tag before notifying a communication error, only for the Listen mode

Scan Rate (ms)

Defines a scan time, in milliseconds, for reading groups, only for the Active Master mode

Retries

Defines the number of retries for failed communications, only for the Active Master mode

Auto Execute Trip and Close Commands

Defines whether this Driver automatically sends an Execute command after each digital command or not, only for the Active Master mode

Auto Execute Setpoint Commands

Defines whether this Driver automatically sends an Execute command after each analog command or not, only for the Active Master mode

 

NOTE

When in Listen mode, the computer's serial port used by this Driver must be connected in parallel to the TX pin of the UTR or monitoring station, so that this Driver can intercept all responses sent by a Slave device to a Master device.
